Project Description

• Location: 365 in Port Arthur from US 69 to Spur 93
• Estimated Construction Cost: $8M

This project consisted of completing PS & E to add 3 lanes to the existing 2-lane facility.  Work included completing hydrologic study, hydraulic design, and hydraulic analysis.  The majority of the surrounding area was rural, but included residential and small commercial areas.  We deetermined drainage areas and runoff, and sized outfall channels, side road ditches, driveway culverts, and centerline culverts.  We designed the proposed side road ditch profiles.  Small, intermediate, and large culverts were analyzed or designed for 25 and checked for 100-yr. This project also included design surveying; replacing water and sanitary sewer lines; proposed curb and gutter section with storm sewer; completing ROW plans; utility coordination for adjustments; re-planking the at-grade UP railroad crossing.
